After the polycarbonate material coated by High ABrasion resistance (HAB; called name) coating process, it can pass the strict testing conditions of 1000~3000 cycles with steel wool #0000 without being scratched (or only has minor scratches). Compared with traditional hard coating of polycarbonate, that is a revolutionary improving in abrasion resistance performance. At the same time, transmittance is also higher than traditional hard coating because of refractive index design, and show superior birefringence optical performance (no rainbow color phenomenon). Moreover, it also improves the surface glossiness level which can be reached the same gloss performance with glass (150~160GU), and with 80deg ~100deg hydrophobic pure water contact angle for easy cleaning.
This process can be used on various shape design, for example, flat shape, curved shape, or injection 3D shapes, all shape can be coated by dipping coat technology which with same functional improvements.
This technology can provide comprehensive improvements and can replace current cost expensive improvement methods (or products), so that the PC application market can become more widespread.

Besides, PMMA material that coated by the Super Hard Coating (SHC; called name) process can achieve a surface hardness of 9H pencil hardness (by 1kg loading weight) and superior wear resistance. The surface hardness of SHC PMMA is comparable with inorganic glass and can replace inorganic glass as the new high hardness substrate material.
Although the market had used high hardness surface coating on PMMA substrate early on, there were some problems after the process. For example, anti-reflection (AR) vacuum coating or other functional coating could not get a good adhesion. Silk printing has not well adhesion performance, and computer numeric control (CNC) cutting has edge cracking. These problems limited the application and promotion. Now, these problems were greatly improved in ours new process.
